Top Tier chapter in Sparta, New Jersey, not only just received a plaque from Mark Carmody for its 10-year anniversary, it also demonstrated that it is thriving! David Richards, the Education Coordinator for the chapter, shared on a Fast Track Friday call recently that they added 11 new members during the Fast Track Program, which they started in January. Go, Top Tier!
David shared two areas in particular where Fast Track especially helped the chapter. The first was the impact they experienced when all members were introduced (or re-introduced) to the BNI fundamentals via the Fast Track CDs. Hearing the same stories at the same time created a shared culture among members. The stories became shorthand in the chapter for different learning points. Those of you who have done Fast Track will recognize Windsprints, Nordy, and the Mary Kay Referral as some of these stories. Shared stories help shape a chapter culture in which everyone participates.
The second element that David implemented was having different members of the chapter take the EC Moment, therefore sharing the training throughout the group. We know that chapters who do this always get better results because it makes for a true team experience. Teaming generates many side benefits, like more 1-to-1s, better quality referrals, real excitement about the success of others, and the energy to grow the chapter.
And, growing the chapter is what Top Tier is up to now! They are starting the Visitor Experience Program. David will be the next president, and his goal is to grow the chapter to 40+ members.

When you go through Fast Track it centers everybody and brings everyone together so you’re all on the same page. Our new members were like sponges—wanting to absorb everything and really getting involved in Fast Track. Their energy even brought our seasoned members back into the fold!
